| MediMiner The
MediMiner has two main fuctions:
1. Version Control of MedDRA Codings
The Version Control function allows the
analysis of a Coding Set in MedDRA 3.1 and the impact of recoding this
data in MedDRA 4.1. It can identify all codes that do not changing and
then identify those codes that may require recoding.
It will identify codes that no longer exist, those that have been
changed in some way, those have a related LLT change or where a
multiaxial change has had an impact. Primary and secondary changes are
identified as well as changes in the current status of the code.
2. Data Mining and Query Analysis of
Safety Data Coded in MedDRA combined with Patient Biometric Queries
Data Mining is achieved by being able
to create any Special Search Category (SSC) for MedDRA. This SSC can
then be combined with patient biometrics to produce a Defined Search
Category (DSC). This then allows you to say for example
Find all occurrence of Nervous
disorders that include this list of PTs, but exclude this list of LLTs
that may also occur with this list of LLTs and PTs for men aged 45 or
over who live in Western Europe.
Even if the safety data set only
contains SOC and PT the system can fill in the gaps and allow queries
involving HLT and HLGTs.
